Our first CapeLUG meeting took place on Saturday, 4 February.

Candice Mills gave a talk about “How Lego is constructing the next generation of Engineers” and showed us some of her cool LEGO-machines she uses to teach STEM-concepts.

Candice was also the winner of our raffle prize, sponsored by Johannes, who came through from Mosselbay for the meeting.

We had a lucky draw of tickets for the LEGO Batman Movie premiere, which was won by Megan and Patryk.

After the formal part of the meeting, we had quite a bit of trade going on, especially minifigures, and Zieg showed off his awesome builds.

We had a good turn-out of about 15 people, including some future AFOLs, and it was great chatting to other LEGO-lovers.

Big thanks goes to Bryony Poulter from Kiddiwinks who provided us with a venue for the day, and Johannes Bisschoff from Bricks 4 Africa for sponsoring the lucky draw prize.
